We will make every effort to ensure your child and guests are treated with the utmost of care. Our face paint, nail polish, make-up, and tattoos are non-toxic and kid friendly. Happily Ever Laughter Parties LLC is not responsible or liable for any accidents, damages, or allergic reactions due to face paint, make-up, tattoos, or nail polish. It is the responsibility of the parents/guests to inform us of allergies in advanced.
DEPOSIT & BALANCE PAYMENT: A 50% deposit is due upon booking. Your date and time cannot be secure until the deposit is paid. Once we have recieved your deposit we will add you to our event calander. Your remaining balance is due on the day of your party by the end of our visit. Balance can be paid with cash or card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do NOT accept checks.
OVERTIME: Client must abide by the scheduled party time frame. Clients must refrain from disrupting a performer's start time/delaying them from leaving. Failure to comply will result in the client being billed $30 per 15 minutes (plus $15 per 15 minutes for each additional character). If you decide during your party that you need more time, please speak to the staff member/assistant in attendance to see if we are able to stay. In this case the $60 per half hour charge will be paid immediately with cash or card.
BEHAVIOR POLICY: Our performers and staff members are not trained governessess! Therefore, clients must monitor any disruptive behavior. If a child or adult becomes unruly or abusive towards the entertainer or staff member present, a warning will be issued to the client. If this continues, we reserve the right to leave the party and the client will still be held responsible for the full balance owed at the event.
TRAFFIC: We do our best to make sure our performers are on time for your event. Therefore, please notify us of any unusual traffic situations in your area that may have a negative impact on a performer reaching your destination on time (i.e. construction, detours, parades, gate codes, or highway/road that may have a lot of traffic) This will help in making sure your performer is at your event on time. If you live in a gated community, please provide us with the gate code.
PARKING: Please inform us of the parking situation (parking garage, street parking, visitor spot, etc.) at your selected venue. The client will be held responsible for paying any parking fees.
GUEST COUNT: Upon booking, the approximate number of guests is set between the client and Happily Ever Laughter Parties. It is the client's responsibility to give us an accurate amount of children invited and to notify us in writing if anything chances. Please keep in mind that our one hour and one hour and a half parties are designed for up to 15 children. We recommend booking an additional character or an additional half hour for more children.
OUTDOOR PARTIES: Peformers are not permitted outside while it is raining, where is it wet/muddy, or when temperature exceeds 85 degrees. Please make sure there is plenty of shade provided for the performer during outdoor events.
CANCELLATIONS: Once we recieve your deposit, we will reserve your event date and time. Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. We understand that life happens and illnesses may occur. In the event you have to cancel, we will work with you to find an alternate party date based on availability.
Life happens to our performers as well! If a perfomer is unable to make an event due to illness, we will do our best to replace your performer while still providing you with a magical experience. Deposits will be reimbursed if we are unable to replace your performer or if the visit is cancelled due to severe weather conditions.
ADDITIONAL FEES: Travel fees of 50¢ per apply to events located more than 15 miles from Fairfax, VA. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for parties scheduled on holidays or in the evening on weekdays.
PHOTOS: Happily Ever Laughter Parties's employees have the right to take photographs of all events and attendees. Happily Ever Laughter parties has the right to copyright, use, and publish all photos in print and/or electronically. All photos may be used for any lawful purpose including publicity, illustrations, advertising, and web content. No personal information such as names and addresses will ever be used.
CHARACTERS: When providing costumed characters for events, it is not our intention to violate copyright laws. Our characters are not name brand copyrighted characters. We can only present characters to audiences and booking clients who are fully aware that we do not represent any licensed character. If you are requiring a licensed, copyrighted character for your event, you should contact the company/copyright holders.
